Open Entry Begins Monday April 16th

Beginning this coming Monday morning, we will be switching to an Open Entry format.  What does this mean for you and students?

- Students will be able to enter the school whenever they arrive, beginning at 7:45 am.
- Students must come in to the school.  They cannot stay outside as there will no longer be any outdoor supervision.  If students would like to stay outside, a parent will need to be present to supervise.
- Students can enter through any door that is visible from the street.
- Once inside, students will have a variety of activities that they can engage in, depending on how they are feeling that day.  Some of the options available are:
          - staying in their classroom to quietly read, do mindful colouring, work on catch-up projects,                 or play math games.
          - going to the gym for different stations
          - going to the Embassy to chat with friends
          - going to the Learning Commons to quietly read
          - going to a buddy class (Mrs. Lacey and Ms. Carstairs) to help out

We are excited to see how the first week goes, and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or comments about this.

Important Dates and Reminders for Next Week:
- Tuesday is our field trip to Harmony
- Thursday is our regular home reading and learning commons book exchange
- Thursday and Friday is Student-Led Conferences
- There is no school for students on Friday

Have a fantastic weekend!
