Happy Friday!
I hope that you had a restful long weekend last week!
Here is our learning web for this week:
This will be the final week that we are doing a paper Home Journal as next week we will be switching to student blogs. The blogs will be set up on Weebly Education, which is an approved Calgary Board of Education site. The blogs will be 100% private and can only be accessed by logging in with student-specific usernames and passwords. Students will bring home their username and password so that you can log in at home, and this information can also be shared with any family members who may wish to follow your child's blog.
The format of the blog will be a "Week in Review". We will continue to write the Home Journal, but this will also be an opportunity for students to share work that they have done throughout the week that they are particularly proud of. This could be writing done in Literacy Stations or Humanities, a Math equation from How Many Ways, an Art, Science, or French project, etc. My hope is that this will be a more efficient way to share your child's learning. If you have any questions or concerns about the blogs, please do not hesitate to contact me: clwillis@cbe.ab.ca.
Reminders and Upcoming Events:
- Every Thursday is our Home Reading and Learning Commons book exchange
